I was just searching for more information on the Isaiah 6:8 passage and your blog came up. As I started reading the first page I felt inspired to write to you. My husband left me this past Summer and we are currently going through a divorce. It has been the most painful experience of intimate betrayal and rejection. Through God’s grace I am getting through this. Tomorrow I fly out to Uganda for 3 weeks to bring supplies to a few schools and to also take time to look forward. The verses you quoted below really spoke to me this morning. Thank you and God bless you.
Philippians 3, “I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead, I press on”.
Isaiah 46:18-19 reads,
“Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!
Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness
and streams in the wasteland.”
