Decorating baby Savannah’s nursery has been so exciting for me! This is our first baby and she is due on September 29th (only 5 weeks to go!). I started out with the crib my mom used for me nearly 29 years ago. It’s vintage, iron and adorable! A few years back, she had new custom bedding made for it, which she gave me as well. As a first time mom, I could barely contain my excitement, so Jeff and I got started on the nursery in my first trimester. We painted the room a soft blue, because I didn’t want the room to be too girly.
Her nursery is eclectic and filled with pieces (old, new and gifted) that I absolutely love! I purchased the books and bookshelves, because I hope to instill in her the same love for reading that I have. I cannot wait to hold her and read to her in the glider! For those decorating a nursery, my advice is that it’s never too early to start! Now that I’m in my third trimester, just moving from the couch to the bathroom is such a huge effort, so I am SO thrilled the nursery is already complete…
